wheat doesn't grow in the winter stupid

The Walla Walla city league soccer Championship game was on Sunday. Somehow, the Hot Tamales (my team) were playing in it. We beat JJC (the number 1 seeded team) the week before. Now we were playing the number 2 seeded team, Winter Wheat. They had previously beaten us 5-1 earlier in the season. We had improved a lot since then and knew we could at least contend. At half we were trailing 2-1. They scored again to make it 3-1. Shortly after, we scored on a free kick to make it 3-2. Beezer (our top goal scorer) then scored his second of the game to tie it 3-3. We had a couple of good chances to win it (as did our opponents), but neither could convert. The game ended in a 3-3 tie and moved on to penalty kicks (best of 5 wins). Both teams made the first. We made the second for a 2-1 lead. They made the third to tie it. We both missed the fourth to tie it after four. Down to one final kick for each team. Arguably the best kickers from each team were up. Our team Captain (David) went first. He tried to fake right and kick left, but the goalkeeper didn't buy it. Fortunately, he nailed it in the left corner so close to the bar that the keeper couldn't get it. We were up 3-2 only their last kicker to go. They make it, the penalty kicks continue. They miss, we win. Their player kicks it to the right, Abel (our amazing goalkeeper) dives and knocks it out of play. We rushed the field in after a very dramatic championship victory. It was glorious. I think our opponents were in rush. We were major underdogs being only the sixth seed out of 8 teams. Definately one of my most favorite sports moments of my life.
