the 2nd best loser

I went to Rocket night last night and got 2nd place...in the losers game. I got 13th in the main game. That's pretty much my worst finish ever. But if you take the 1 and 3 numbers from my 13th place finish and add them together, then subtract the 2 from my 2nd place finish from that sum, then divide that total by the number of games I played (2) , you get the number one, which basically means I got first place.
And people question the relevance of learning math in school.
