over a month

As of yesterday, I have been in Walla Walla for a month. I'm definately ready to take a trip back to Portland. My first trip back will be Aug. 19-21 for Lita and Bob's wedding. After that, I hope to return in early September, possibly the 9th-11th.
Right now I'm waiting around until 6pm when I have to go into work until 10pm. Same hours tomorrow night too. Suck! I'm hoping for a better job soon.

visitors from the west

My parents and sister are coming to visit today. That's happy. They will be bringing more of my things (bookshelf, dresser, bike, guitar, and other happy things). That's also happy.
I was going to write about something else that was interesting, but I forgot it. Maybe later.

dang

Well, the janitor position didn't work out. Not that I wasn't offered the job, because it was basically offered to me. However, neither job (Bi-Mart or Big 5) would allow me to work at the other because they are both retail companies that sell similar products, specifically guns. That's stupid! I don't even like guns! I guess I have to keep job searching.

first day on the job

This afternoon I start my first day of work at Big 5. I have to wear a tie.
Yesterday I had an interview for a janitorial position at Bi-Mart, so I may be working two part time jobs. I'll take what I can get.

blame it on the rain, yeah yeah...

I just bought a record player the other day at Goodwill. It plays really well. I also bought a record that day. It's pretty much the most awsomest album ever. You guessed it, Milli Vanilli's "Girl You Know It's True" album. It was only $1. Can you believe it? I can.

not overly exciting

I thought I'd have more to write about being in this new environment, but I really don't. Things are going well. The days have been fun and productive. I got a job within my first week of living here. It's not quite the job I wanted (not enough hours at minimum wage), but it'll do for now. It's at Big 5 Sporting Goods. I start this week. That's about it for now.

initiation to the walla's

I forgot to mention. My first day in Walla Walla was spent building chicken coops.
